9.  Appliances.  If any particular model specified herein
          has been discontinued by the maker, you shall consult with 
          us on selection of an alternate; generally, any such 
          alternate would be the successor model, but that is not 
          necessarily so.



          9.1 Kitchen Appliances

          
          9.1.1.  Refrigerator.  The refrigerator shall be a Maytag,
          model MTB2656, in white; if an ice maker or a water
          dispenser is an option, it shall have neither one.  The
          doors shall open from the right (that is, handle on the
          right facing the door).


          9.1.2.  Dishwasher.  The dishwasher shall be a Sears
          "Kenmore" model 02215979 (black).


          9.1.3.  Cooktop.  The cooktop shall be a GE "Profile"
          series induction cooktop, model JP392R, in black, or 
          substantially equivalent.


          9.1.4.  Exhaust.  The cooking exhaust shall be a Venmar
          Model 400 unit with optional charcoal filter, in the maker's
          "bronze" color, set up as a recirculating unit (no vent to 
          outside).


          9.1.5. Oven.  The in-wall oven shall be a Kenmore electric
          self-cleaning type, model 02241089 (black).


          9.1.6. Freezer.  The freezer shall be a 14.9-cubic-foot
          chest type, of a size to readily fit in a 48-inch opening,
          of any reputable brand, in white.  You shall consult with us
          on colors, features, and any other options.



          9.2 Laundry Appliances


          9.2.1. Washer.  The washer shall be a Sears "Kenmore,"
          model 02628912 (white).


          9.2.2.  Dryer.  The dryer shall be a Sears "Kenmore," model
          02668932 (white).  Its output shall be ducted to the
          outdoors with rigid metal ducting, which shall terminate in
          a damper and shall be well insulated.
