10  Masonry Heater



          10.1.  Maker.  The masonry heater shall be an "EnviroTech"
          type (Dietmeyer, Ward & Stround, Inc.; P.O. Box 323; Vashon 
          Island WA  98070; 206/463-3722) designed for use with a 
          metal insulated chimney.  You shall consult with the maker 
          as required to assure an installation compliant with their 
          design requirements.


          
          10.2.  Capacity.  The unit shall be the maker's "standard"
          size.  You shall ascertain all dimensions, clearances, and 
          placement requirements from the maker; those shown on the 
          design drawings are tentative, subject to the maker's 
          confirmation.



          10.3.  Accesories.  The unit shall be procured with all
          accessories appropriate to the installation, such as a long
          damper handle.



          10.4.  Veneer.  You shall have a qualified mason apply the
          required 4-inch masonry veneer.  The veneer material shall
          be new, standard-size brick from Mutual Materials Co. in
          their "Pacific Handmould" color and pattern.  The rear wall,
          facing into the Bedroom, shall have a double-thickness
          8-inch veneer.



          10.5  Chimney.  You shall provide an 8-inch i.d. metal
          insulated chimney through the ceiling and roof to a height 
          above roof as required by code, covered and capped as 
          required by code and good practice.  The chimney shall be 
          very thoroughly flashed where it passes through the roof.
